There's much to see here.
So, take your time, look around,
and learn all there is to know about us.
We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.
We are a wee small group of people that reunite dog tags for people all over the globe, we reunite Tags from all World Wars and conflicts and countries.
Some of the tags we find and others are found by other detectorists. They are sometimes in private collections and are donated to us. No matter where they come , our mission is to get them back home where they belong. them back home
When a dogtag is found we research the soldier and the family.. Matching up his service number (familysearch and ancestry) fiind the family the person belongs to. When he was born and in what state. Who his parents were, did he have siblings. Where can we find him in the military records (using fold3)
Maybe find his grave (find a grave) going through several different sites and also using the simplicity of Google a telephone book and Facebook we are able to find daughters, sons, grandchildren, nephews, nieces ore many other family member.
Then the hardest part trying to get in contact with them and confincing them we are not scammers or money diggers.
And then when they are convinced that we are not scammers we start the repatriation process. This can take many months and a lot of patience . But at the end of the day they will get something precious back.
You will also receive all documentation that was found (like census and military if any are found)
THIS SERVICE IS COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE.
To date we have reunited over 80 tags , with another 15 at hand and we are currently researching more then 30 tags that were found by others all over the world.
The United States of America entered World War II following the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on 7 December 1941. On 14 December, US Defense Chief, General Eisenhower, decided that the US forces should direct their campaign from Australia. Queensland served as an important base for American forces during operations for the War in the Pacific. Nearly 80,000 Americans were located in Brisbane at the peak of the war.
The first contingent of the US forces to arrive in Australia arrived at Hamilton Wharf in Brisbane on 22 December 1941. The convoy named Task Force South Pacific included the escort ship USS Pensacolaand USS Chaumont, USS Republic and USS Meigs; they had been diverted from the Philippines. The convoy disembarked a total of 4600 personnel. The first camp (Camp Ascot) was established at Brisbane’s Eagle Farm racecourse. American service personnel were also located in and around the northern cities of Rockhampton and Townsville.

Cups, coins, ammunition, uniform decorations, kitchen utilities like spoons etc, plates. Nails, buckles, guns , bayonets, pistols, coke bottles, compasses, Dog Tags , hand grenades and all sorts of things.
About everything that indured the 70 years in the ground including paper,
Even found some 75 year old biscuits.
But our breaths keep on hold for a few if we find a dogtag.
