Sometimes we have a dogtag and we found some information... Like his family and siblings. But because of their name (common names like Smith, Johnson) ore becouse they were originally from another country. We were not able to find living descent.

I received my long lost dog tag in May 2019, after losing it in Australia in 1942.
I am excited with this program reuniting dog tags to owners.
Thank you for going to extensive length to find my mom, Janice André Laiche, to return her father, Emory Joseph André’s, WWII dog tag.
My grandfather was actually stationed in France. We had no idea that he even went to Arizona. He died here in the States, just a few years after the war ended, in a car accident. Mom was only three years old. Thus, we didn’t really know a whole lot about his experience in the war.
What a special gift for mom to get after all these years!!! Thank you again for taking your time to honor our vets and families.
Not much is known about Herbert other than that he was in the Army Air Corp. He died tragically in a grain elevator back in Arkansas after the war. The familyresearch came out that the Dog tag is returned to his great nephew almost a year after searching for him.
Mr Robins is going home to his son in Arizona.
Ernest Walkers Tags are going home to his son David Walker in Colorado . Mr Walker was actually at Schofields barracks. On the day that Pearl Harbour was attacked. He was fortunate to survive that attack and shipped out to Australia for training. Mr Walker made it home and lived his life in the states with family.
Imagine my surprise when my brother sends me a text at 3am my time, midnight his time 2 years ago, asking me some questions about our dad. It seems that he got a message thru Facebook from Tim telling him that he had found a dog tag with dads name on it. We were suspicious at first. But I looked up information on our dad and sent it to my brother. Details from brother and Tim matched. Amazing that the dog tag was buried over 65 years! We asked that the dog tags be sent to me. My youngest brother has his original dog tags and my other brother has his uniform. The tag arrived in great shape along with a coin and cuff links that were found near by. I shared them on Facebook proudly. Tim wanted nothing. In October of 2017, my area of florida was in the way of a massive hurricane. I've lived in Florida for over 60 years years and this was the first time we boarded up our windows. We were prepared with water, lanterns, etc. On the table with the lanterns, where I planned to sleep on a sofa, was the dog tag that Tim had sent me. Said my prayers and went to sleep. The hurricane veered to the east and we were saved from mass destruction. Yes there was damage, trees down. No power, etc. But could have been so much worse. I feel that my parents were watching over us, especially dad thru that dog tag. I speak for my family when I say THANK YOU for all that you do to reunite these items to family members. I show them off all the time

It's an indescribable feeling when you hold that dog tag for the first time. Worn and weathered but as precious as a gem stone. It's miraculous when you think about it, buried in sand for seventy plus years. Once found, the researchers locate the family with the only initial information being what is on that 70 year old tag. The most amazing part is a stranger to me, in Australia, took the time and effort to locate my family. And when I thought someone in Australia was stalking me, he sends the tag info to the Netherlands so the ultimate researcher, can convince me this is for real! It's a glorious feeling when you realize there really are good and caring people in our world who have no agenda other than getting your father's dog tag back home.
